West Valley Dance Company Presented Wonka! Their largest production ever.
“Wonka!” combined elements of a grand theatrical stage production full of awe-inspiring scenery and characters that come to life through award-winning dance performances.
Wonka was our largest production to date. The show featured over 2,000 dancers from WVDC’s recreational and competitive programs and was held at the Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose on June 22-24, 2023.
Wonka is based on the beloved Roald Dahl story, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The show follows the adventures of Charlie Bucket, a young boy who wins a golden ticket to tour the mysterious Wonka Chocolate Factory. Along the way, Charlie meets the eccentric Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas, and experiences all sorts of magical and delicious things.
WVDC’s Wonka production featured various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and contemporary. The show also featured elaborate costumes, sets, and props. The show was a magical and unforgettable experience for the entire family.
