Leandra Saenz
Leandra trained in acro/gymnastics as a child and has been teaching Acro for over 20 years in a dance studio setting. In 2018 she became certified with Acrobatic Arts and has transitioned her acro teaching style to rely heavily on the Acrobatic Arts curriculum. The program is designed to teach acro through safe proper progressions and really stresses the importance of alignment and training everything on both sides. She is very passionate about her students having proper strength and awareness of alignment before attempting advanced skills. She has experience teaching levels primary through pre-pro, ages 3-18. In addition to being a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor she is also certified in the Alixa Flexibility Method which helps her students to progress with their flexibility training needed for both acro and dance. With a BS degree in biology and love for the arts and teaching dance, Leandra has a passion for the biomechanics of AcroDance and endorsing safe and progressive training. She is excited to introduce this curriculum to the students at West Valley Dance.
